Andrew Wright discovered his love for music at an early age. Forgoing what he was told he should listen to by TV and radio, instead he ploughed his own way into discovering the music that he loved. He has spent the last 15 years involved in the electronic music scene, with performing being at the heart of everything he does. As a DJ he’s graced the decks at various clubs around the UK and Europe and as a producer he’s been releasing music since 2012, both in solo and collaborative projects.
In 2018 he took a chance to change his life and turn his passion for music, and music technology, into a career by starting his own modular synth store, Blicken Synths, in his hometown of Chelmsford. The years since the stores launch has brought new connections and opportunities to further his development as a performing artist and has led to many new and exciting challenges. His latest solo project, Social Conduct, began in 2018 and focuses on semi and fully improvised performances as well as studio recordings in the realms of noise and experimental electronic music.
2020 will see Andrew Wright progress even further with Social Conduct performances, collaborative music experiences and dive into the world of sound installations, music workshops and more….

Next week Control Voltage’s Chelmsford EMOM returns to our favourite arch, Hot Box, for another night of live electronic music featuring a host of local talent, including Brokenatoms and Kontort.
Béton Brut returns to Radio City Social on Saturday the 28th of September. Béton Brut 01, held in May 2024, was well received by both RCS regulars and fans of the darker sides of electronic music. Word has since spread across musicians and connoisseurs since the event was held, so make sure to put the date in your diary for something genuinely unique happening in Chelmsford.
On the 4th April Stark (David Gooday and Simon Granger) & Sixth Circle (BrokenAtoms and Social Conduct) fired up the machines for a masterclass in improvised performance. Expertly programmed beats intertwined with spell binding rhythms that kept us amazed and entertained for the best part of 2 hours.
