We are held captive in our own minds, in our own lives, by our needs and wants. The world dictates to us, demands our subservience. It constructs a cell from which we are unable to escape. It breaks us down until we are nothing but dust.

Tormented by the Hardships of Prison is the Resonance label’s first release and the two tracks represent Social Conduct’s dichotomy of approach to modern electronic music.

Social Conduct is Andrew Wright, who specialises in experimental electronic music recorded live using predominately modular synths. The first track is a powerful piece of noise music, using modular synths performed live in December 2018. The second track was performed as part of a Garden video recording, using the Buchla Music Easel to create ethereal ambient tones.

Tormented by the Hardships of Prison is available for digital purchase only, through our bandcamp page.

Available 8th May 2020.
