Bang Bang Beep Beep

This month we embarked on our 4th UR session down the stairs at Voodoo and this one was a little bit special for it was the first time we had completely handed over the reigns to our community.

Juanstone, DA22A and Bang Bang Beep Beep turned up with laptops, desktop synths, effects pedals and a real life guitar! Proper musicians at this one. Without discussions, it was clear to see how quickly they settled into their roles within the ensemble and just went along with whatever their collaborators were doing.

We had moments of jazz, dirty grooves, sublime guitar licks, up tempo and down slow, heady dub rhythms…. A lot of ground was covered in those two hours and not a moment of it wasn’t fascinating to behold!
