We return to Radio City City for Béton Brut 02

Béton Brut returns to Radio City Social on Saturday the 28th of September. Béton Brut 01, held in May 2024, was well received by both RCS regulars and fans of the darker sides of electronic music.

Word has since spread across musicians and connoisseurs since the event was held, so make sure to put the date in your diary for something genuinely unique happening in Chelmsford.

For those that attended the first gig you can expect more big sub bass, glitched beats and industrial dark vibes, accompanied again by warped reactive visual projections courtesy of Chris Adam.

The night will be sound tracked with live performances from Brokenatoms, Diacritical Mark, Hell Feeder and Kontort.

The performances are inspired by a sense of minimalism, the industrialisation of western society and the abstraction of brutalist concrete structures (designed by so many influential architects across the world). Also influencing the musical styles are a sense of dystopian decay, with the performers drawing from an eclectic range of musical genres including industrial and dark ambient, to the more apocalyptic beat serrated edges of electronica.

Entry is free and the music kicks off at 7.30 so we hope to see you down the front for the next instalment of Béton Brut presents…….

Béton brut (French pronunciation: [betɔ̃ bʁyt]) is architectural concrete that is left unfinished after being cast, displaying the patterns and seams imprinted on it by the formwork.[1] Béton brut is not a material itself, but rather a way of using concrete. The term comes from French and means “raw concrete”.
